Join team hope for water.Your Mission
Here's a list of ways that you can join us in spreading the message of sustainable clean water and the hope that Jesus provides.
Some are easy and some are more challenging. Start with one and work your way through the list. You can make a difference.
Just do something today.
1) Give
Give monthly to God through Hope For Water. Now you have skin in the game. It means you're committed to working with us to bring clean water and the living water of Christ to the thirsty. We don't want to limit how much you give or suggest something too high for your budget, but the point is to give something. The Bible says, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Prayerfully ask God to show you how financially involved you can be. Donate Now
2) Write
Write a short note to 5 of your friends telling them about Hope For Water and that you are involved in the solution. It can be a very short note. It can be an email or Facebook post or a tweet. However, consider keeping the post office in business and actually writing a few letters. Most of us only get bills in the mail, so a little news about how things can be better could be refreshing.
3) Talk
Have a conversation with someone about Hope For Water. Bring somebody to lunch or invite them to coffee. Get intentional about it and put a reminder in your Google calendar or make a list of 12 people you can talk to over the next year. The point is to start a conversation. Change the conversation from last night's favorite sitcom to something that will change the world. Maybe this is a topic you could use to bring up Jesus to someone who you wouldn't otherwise. Maybe this is a way to get together with friends and plan something big in your city. Maybe a 5k or fishing tournament or concert. Maybe you know one of the guys in Switchfoot. Call him up. Get creative.
4) Pray
Pray for the followers of Jesus to rise up and be a part of solving the clean water crisis for the glory of God. This should be the number one priority, but we don't list it first because some people would choose prayer instead of the other action steps. We're confident that as you partner with us using your money, your actions and your mouth, that prayer will naturally be your connection to the power source. Prayer is a priority because we have to seek God's will on how the solutions are to be implemented. However, we don't need to ask him whether to begin because his Word says we are to be about caring for the poor.
5) Go
See the problem for yourself. But, be warned . . . your life will not stay the same after the experience. Contact us if you want more information about our next trips in the summer of 2013.
